On May 9 at WonderLab, the inaugural event for the IU Arts & Humanities Council’s Granfalloon festival will be WonderLab After Dark: The Science of Vonnegut. Hoosier writer Kurt Vonnegut was “one of the most prolific science fiction writers of the 20th Century,” says Sarah Wells, WonderLab’s education specialist, so this event explores the science that the fiction is based in. On August 25, explore the science of art and creativity at WonderLab After Dark with an eclectic mix of activities involving robots, bugs, dance, and more! The 21+ crowd can experiment with the hands-on activities offered by the museum, learn how science inspires the work of local artists and writers, and enjoy live music in the WonderGarden. WonderLab After Dark: Chocolate! On February 17th, WonderLab Museum of Science, Health and Technology is open late for a 21-and-over event featuring local libations, food, and, of course, chocolate. Visitors can also explore the science and history of this coveted treat, as well as WonderLab’s other hands-on exhibits.
