IU Professors Host Ethical Metalsmiths and Radical Jewelry Makeover

IU professors of metalsmithing and jewelry design are collaborating with the nonprofit Ethical Metalsmiths to inspire students to create jewelry from ethically source materials, reconsider consumer habits, and promote stories behind donated jewelry. Metalsmithing and jewelry-design students from several Midwest universities will showcase their work in an exhibition called Radical Jewelry Makeover Bloomington in January. Alfred Kinsey’s 1948 book “Sexual Behavior in the Human Male” was a milestone in the study of human sexual behavior. Today, the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University is still conducting cutting-edge research and programs by partnering with groups ranging from schools in rural counties to IU’s School of Medicine and Kelley School of Business.
