Indiana Rape Kits

After surviving a sexual assault, our anonymous source turned to Indiana University Hospital to have a rape kit preformed. While this process itself was consistently clear and well explained, the process of tracking the whereabouts of her kit afterwards was less-so. Senate Bill 264 seeks to ease this process, with a system that allows survivors to track the status of their rape kits themselves, rather than going though detectives, inevitably cutting out the go-between. | Photo by Nicole McPheeters
